Chapter 1. The Letter

It's been two years since her emotional wreckage and Jessie was still having trouble letting go.

She finally accepted Brian's invitation for dinner. He was one of her most persistent admirers. 
Her resistance caved in when he overheard her talking to a friend about how bored to death she is getting since her boss, Mr. Replay made her take some time off. 

Brian jumped her and insisted how she must come to the Bistro with him.
- Oh, yes, you simply must try their lobster... 
Jessie could barely say: ...um...I...err.... and before she new it, she had a date!

Jessie was just about to go out when she saw Larry, the mail carrier.

- Oh hi Larry! What are you doing here at this hour?!
- Hi gorgeous! Where are you off to looking like that?!
- Oh, well you know, Brian..
- Well consider me a little help from above  ;)  you can't go! This letter just came for you, it was urgent, I had to run  all the way here! It's from the Archeology Institute Of Egypt, some guy named prof. Dawson. Wanna see what it is?
- OH! Larry let me see that! Oh my God this is very important! They found it!!!! You are right Larry, I can't go with Brian, I have to go to Al Simhara immediately!
- What did they find?! Jessie, what did they find?!
- They found the Crescent Key Stone! The one that is supposed to open the Gates of The Sphinx!! I have to find Eugene! I have to go to the Chronicle, he will flip when he hears this! 

The Sunset Valley Chronicle

Eugene Replay was the everlasting director editor of the Sunset Valley Chronicle. He was strict and hotheaded, but with a big sense for justice! He could see Jessie running into the redaction building and he already started mumbling something to himself.

- I thought I told you to stay home for a couple of days! I told you to back off and rest!! If you keep this up I  will fire you, so help me God!!!
- Oh come on boss, and loose your best photographer? Besides I'd be broke and all alone and you'd be sorry so you'd hire me back.
- What do you want Jones?!

- Boss you have to let me go to Al Simhara!
- What!? Are you out of your mind!? NOW FOR THE LAST TIME JONES...

- I got this 10 minutes ago
- Huh? Hm....  Dear Jessie...  the dig site...  the stone is likely to be.....  your expertise.....  the Crescent Stone that in my opinion opens the Gates of the Grate Sphinx, this discovery is the key to the secrets of the ancient Egyptians and the Soulpeace Statue. Signed, prof. Tobias Dawson.
Goodness...I didn't see that coming.... yes... I'm afraid you'll have to go.
- YES!
- I'm not happy Jessie! Just to clarify, do not get into trouble there! Just take a couple of shots, write the story and come back! That is all you have to do! Did I make myself clear?! 
- Crystal!! Oh thank you boss!
- I'm not doing you a favor! Don't thank me! I'm only sending you there because you're the only expert on relics I have!! Call me when you get there! DO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID JONES!
