Chapter 7. Back At Sunset Valley

As soon as Jessie entered The Sunset Valley Chronicle, Eugene Replay jumped of his chair!

- JESSIE JONES!! WHERE WERE YOU!!! WHAT IN THIS WORLD DO YOU OWN A PHONE FOR!?! I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR DAYS!!! YOU ARE FIRED!!!!!!!
- BOSS!! Calm down!
- CALM DOWN?!! I WILL NOT CALM DOWN!! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO REST AT HOME, NOT HAVE AN EXCLUSIVE CRUISE ON THE NILE AT MY EXPENSE!! GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!!
- Boss I think you better sit down, you'll have a heart attack!
- You will kill me.... I swear you will.... NOW WHAT HAVE YOU TO SAY FOR YOURSELF JONES!!! What is that? Are those photos of..... Oh my God....
- Yeah, I kind of got lost..... In the Sphinx.... you know....
- YOU..... IN THE TOMB?! Are you alright? Were you hurt? What happened? I.....

Chapter 6. The Salvation

After a few hours Emeric came around. Jessie was standing right over him holding a wet piece of cloth on his head. She said she had just woke up when he was carrying her out of the burial chamber and he just collapsed when the door shut behind them. He couldn't remember anything.

 
- Are you ok?!
- I don't fell so good Jessie... I think we have a problem...
- Did it hurt you?! I couldn't see any wounds. I tried to help you when you were knocked out...
- I'm not hurt but I.... I think that thing did something to me.... The curse of Anubis... Do you remember when I told you about it?
- You don't really think that it could be true?! Oh Emeric what are we going to do now?!
- My only hope is the Soulpeace Statue! We have to find it!
- But we can't even find a way out of here! How are we going to find the Soulpeace Statue?
- We have to move on! It must be around here! Besides, we have fourteen days... It shouldn't be so hard to put up with me for a few more days, right?

- Hm.... This looks like an important part of the tomb...

- The grand stairways and a lot of statues of Anubis!
- Maybe this is the Soulpeace statue!

- Jessie we should go, I'm getting weaker every moment.... I don't want you to stay unprotected here...

- No! Remember, There's a lot of things around us Jessie! Just look around and see if there's a secret switch on these statues or hidden passages in the walls! You feel around the room and I'll inspect the statues. Maybe we'll find a way out!

- Hm... These writings on the wall look strange...

- Yes! Good girl! You've found a secret door! Oh my God Jessie! Look!!

- Oh Emeric We've found it!!!! LOOK AT IT!! It's beautiful!! I can't believe it!                                             .

- Thank you my boy! Thank you for bringing her back to me! I knew if anyone could bring her back it was you!! Oh it's so good to have you back!
- Professor! It feels good to be back!
- Tobias you wont believe what we've been through in there!!

Chapter 5. The Burial Chamber

- Alright! I already saw that floor switch when I came in the reception chamber. Now all I have to do is to find a way to activate it and see what it does.
- Oh Emeric please be careful!

- Yes! Just as I thought, the traps are deactivated. Lets go!

- Is that it? This looks like a dead end and we haven't even left the room!

- Hm... Look around and try to find anything that looks unusual. And Jessie...

- Yes?

- Do not touch anything!

- Fine! Everything here creeps me out anyway. Hey!!! There's a hole in the ground here!!

- Wait Jessie, let me see. Hm...
- What are you doing?!
- Huh?
- You are not seriously thinking of putting your hand in there, are you?!
- Will you relax! I know what I'm doing.
- Fine! Don't come crying to me if something bites your hand off!

- Wow!!! It's Made of gold! Look  at the size of that thing! It's beautiful!
- Well gold or not, the torch of Anubis is never a good sign....
- What do you mean!?
- According to the legend, Anubis, the God of the dead, guards the sacred burial grounds.  
- That is bad?
- Ancient Egyptians believed that the walking dead avenge the desecration of their tombs by putting a deadly curse on anyone who dares to disturb them and the only way to lift the curse is to plead to the God of the dead himself.
- What do you mean "to the God of the dead himself"?
- The ancient Egyptians believed that the Soulpeace Statue contains a peace of Anubis's soul. Receiving it's blessing should lift the curse, but only to those whose hearts are worthy, not overcome with greed.
- I really want to get out of here!!

- These doors are sealed! We are not going anywhere that way!

- Should we look for more hols, maybe one you can stick your head in?

- Amazing! It's a secret passage!! 

- Impressed?

- Well maybe a little. I have to admit, that was pretty cool.

- Jess look at that slot.

- It looks like an ancient key hole. Like the one on the Gates of the Sphinx, but this one is shaped like a star....

- Maybe there is one hidden somewhere around here. Well that looks strange...

- A carpet in front of a wall.... hm.....

- A nother secret passage!

- Lets see if it fits....

- Ha!Perfect!

- Wow! What is this place? Are those.....

- Sarcophagus.... Listen to me Jessie.... We have to get out of this room as quickly as possible!

- Why?! What's wrong?!

- This part could get tricky! There could be a lot of traps here! We are in a burial chamber! This part of a tomb is very well protected! I need you to do exactly as I say! Clim into that dive well!

- What?! NO!

- Just trust me, you'll be safer there! 

- You are scaring me! What are you going to do?

- Just get in there! 

- I can't believe you are making me do this....  AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

- WHAT?!

- Jessie RUN!!!!

Chapter 4. The Great Sphinx

 The morning came, and so did the big day! The excavation team was already at the site. Everyone stood silent as Emeric approached the Gates....

- Tobias.... The key is in the slot.... Nothing is happening....

- O Dear God.... Please let it work.....

- O MY GOD!!!!

- YES!!! YES!!! YES!!!!

- Everyone stay clear while I check it out! I see fire traps in the reception chamber, I'll try to deactivate them and then I'll call you! Just stay away from the Gates!

- Jessie! What are you doing?! Get back here!! He said it isn't safe!! 

- I'm just gonna take a peek....

- Jessie NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

 - OH NO!!!! JESSIE!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!

- WHAT DID YOU DO JESSIE!? WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!

- Oh My God.... I.... I just wanted to see....

- DON'T YOU EVER DO WHAT YOU'RE TOLD!!! LOOK AT THE MESS YOU GOT US INTO!!

- Oh yeah... yell at me why don't you.... It doesn't matter.... We'll die here anyway....

- I swear to God, if you start crying I'll kill you myself!! 

- Do you think they'll save us?

- Oh sure... We just have to wait for a couple of thousand years for them to find a nother key stone since, SOMEBODY triggered a mechanism that crushed the first one!!!

- OH NO..... What are we going to do now?
- Ok. Look... Chances are they will not be able to to come in through the same way we did and save us. Also, I doubt we'll be going out that way either. We'll just have to find our own way out of this. Don't be afraid Jessie... I'll get us out... I promise.
